
Jingjing Xu
MEZZO-SOPRANO
Chinese mezzo-soprano Jingjing Xu is establishing herself as one of the most promising young artists of her generation. She is the winner of the 2024 Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition.
Jingjing is currently a member of the Berlin State Opera’s Young Artist Program, where she is set to make her role debut as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She also appears as Carlotta in Die schweigsame Frau and the Second Woman in Dido and Aeneas.
Upcoming and recent highlights include her U.S. debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under the baton of Esa-Pekka Salonen, performing Debussy’s La damoiselle élue, and her European stage debut in the title role of Rossini’s La Cenerentola at the Bregenz Festival Opera Studio, and Lili Boulanger’s cantata Faust et Hélène with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
